Why digital? Well it harkens back to an older term before multimedia. Since everything is produced for cross platform use, the term multimedia is outdated. New media, which was very well used, limits the context to web and cd's. Besides, new media is old, like modern architecture.

So again back to digital media.

This means production for enhanced websites with interactive flash, database driven content management systems (CMS), fervently laid out in proper interfaces that interact in time tested methodology to return results from the sites users.

This also means presentations for corporate sales teams, board proposals, or any item that requires proper and professional PowerPoint presentation with interactive charts and clean presence.

This also means dashboard interface design that works to get the proper information to the user in the natural manner, not just how the database engineer decided to plop it on the board that day with no experience in user interfaces.
